Escalante: Peekaboo, Brimstone and Spooky Slot Canyons

I left Moss Cave/Shakespeare Peak area of Bryce Canyon and an hour or so later, I was in Escalante National Park. I was stoked to hike slot canyons. I parked in a wrong place so my hike ended being much longer but it is a 6-mile beautiful and super fun loop – fun if you enjoy squeezing between high walls of canyons or if you enjoy sliding down a rope into a canyon slot and scrambling over some large boulders. I did Peekaboo first, then the Dry Fork, then Spooky, then Brimstone. Then Peekaboo again. Then Spooky again. It is like the best ride in an amusement park.

I can imagine that hiking these tight canyons in a rainstorm would not be the safest thing but the sky was blue and no sign of any rain anywhere near.
